News Desk: Popular Assamese actress Preety Kongkona has been receiving various threatening calls from unknown people. Due to her controversial role in the Assamese serial ‘Begum Jaan’, the actress has been receiving death threats along with acid attack and rape threats.
The actress lodged an F.I.R. at Dispur Police Station earlier today. According to her statement, since she started acting in ‘Begum Jaan’ serial, she and her family have been mentally tortured by various sections of people. They have also received many threatenings.
In her statement, she mentioned two people specifically along with their phone numbers. These two-people have threatened her of rape, acid-attack, and also death.
She also stated that due to these threats, she is concerned about the wellbeing of herself and her family.
The two accused are- Bikram Nath and Kishore Das.
Kishore Das on his Facebook page posted vulgar statements about the actress.
Preety Kongkona is the wife of popular singer Simanta Sekhar. Recently, the Assamese serial created a lot of controversies as many have alleged that it promotes Love Jihad. Many people have also filed a police complaint against the makers and actors of this serial.
