The first song, Besharam Rang, from Pathaan, one of the most anticipated films of 2023, was recently released. While fans appreciated Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s sizzling chemistry, it also landed the film in trouble with Madhya Pradesh minister Dr Narottam Mishra.
The minister was enraged by the film’s use of saffron costumes. He also claimed that the film contains some offensive scenes and threatened to ban Pathaan in Madhya Pradesh unless those scenes were replaced.
Pathaan’s Song in Trouble
Pathaan will not be released in Madhya Pradesh unless the outfits and scenes in the film are changed, according to Madhya Pradesh minister Narottam Mishra. He stated that the costumes and scenes should be corrected or deleted before Pathaan is considered for release in MP.
Minister Narottam Mishra also tweeted about it, calling Deepika Padukone a supporter of the tukde-tukde gang. In Hindi, he added, “the costumes are highly objectionable and the song has been shot with a dirty mindset (sic).”
Swami Chakrapani Maharaj also calls for a Ban on Pathaan
Meanwhile, Swami Chakrapani Maharaj tweeted in Hindi, “There has been an insult of saffron and Hindu Sanskrit in Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathaan. Why is the film censor board sleeping? We will impose a ban! The Hindu Mahasabha will oppose it. Swami Chakrapani Maharaj, National President, All India Hindu Mahasabha (sic).”
Besharam Rang Song
Pathaan’s first single, Besharam Rang, was widely anticipated even before its release. Fans adored Deepika Padukone’s ultra-glamorous photos in swimsuits, as well as SRK’s man bun and chiselled physique. On December 12, the song was finally released.
The song captures some peaceful locations in Spain beautifully. Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan are also seen dancing together once more. Their chemistry is enthralling. While Deepika Padukone raises the temperature with her flawless moves and never-before-seen hot avatar, Shah Rukh Khan works his charm with just his glances.
About the Movie Pathaan
Pathaan brings together Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham for the first time. Siddharth Anand directs the film, which is produced by Yash Raj Films. It’s the fourth entry in the YRF Spy Universe. The film is set to be released on January 25, 2023, during the Republic Day weekend, with dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu.
In the film, Shah Rukh Khan will play Pathaan, a RAW field agent. Vishal-Shekhar composed the music for Pathaan, and Sanchit and Ankit Balhara wrote the score. The first single, Besharam Rang, featuring Deepika Padukone, was a huge success when it was released on December 12, 2022.
