Traffic violators in Cachar were in for a surprise on Thursday when they were given a rose instead of a challan for violating traffic rules.
During the peak hours of traffic, Cachar Police took a very unique initiative by giving roses to commuters violating the traffic rules. While a few lauded the police for this awareness, a few felt that this was no way to behave.
Cachar Police ensured that the rules were applied for all.
This innovative initiative is part of the month-long campaign on road safety- “Sadak Suraksha- Jeevan Raksha”.
People will remember that they received a rose for breaking traffic which will work as a reminder for them. The initiative has been carried out at various locations of the city.
“Presenting red roses to traffic rule violators during the ongoing month long campaign on road safety – “Sadak Suraksha – Jeevan Raksha” @assampolice” the official Twitter page of Cachar Police informed.
