The 67th National Film Awards were announced in New Delhi on Monday. The awards are for films from the year 2019. Kangana Ranaut, Manoj Bajpayee, and deceased actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s last theatrical release, Chhichhore, won big awards.
Kangana Ranaut was adjudged the Best Actress in a Feature Film. She was given this award for her performances in films like Manikarnika and Panga. Apart from her, Manoj Bajpayee and Dhanush shared the best actor award for ‘Bhonsle’ and ‘Asuran’ respectively.
Meanwhile, Chhichhore, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, won the best Hindi film award.
Also, prominent director Chandra Mudoi’s ‘Ronuwa—Who never surrenders’ grabbed the honour of the best Assamese film (Rajat Kamal Award).

Best Non-Feature Film: An Engineered Dream
Best Narration: Wild Karnataka (David attenbrogh)
Best Audiography: Radha (Musical)
Best Editing: Shut Up Sona
Charan-Arva The Essence of Being a Nomad
Best on Location Sound Recordist: Rahas, Saptarishi Sarkar
Best Cinematography: Sonsi, Savita Singh
Best Direction: Knock Knock Knock Sudhansu Saria
Best Film Critic: Sohini Chattopadhyay
Most Film-friendly State: Sikkim
