Many years later, when the king’s son grows greedy and wants the land back, he dies due to the anger of Bhoota.

Kantara has surpassed KGF: Chapter 2 to become the Indian movie with the highest IMDb rating. The movie now has the highest IMDb rating for an Indian film, 9.4, at this time. KGF Chapter 2 (8.4) and SS Rajamouli’s RRR come next. The movie Ponniyin Selvan: 1 was released alongside Mani Ratnam’s masterpiece, but it nevertheless performed incredibly well at the box office.

Last week, Chiranjeevi’s Godfather enjoyed a respectable opening in Karnataka and amassed roughly $8 crore in its first week of distribution. Godfather and Ponniyin Selvan had no impact on Kantara’s chances at the box office.
