News Desk: BSF troops deployed on Indo Bangladesh International Border under Guwahati Frontier rescued 110 cattle heads during special operations conducted in bordering areas of Districts South Salamara and Dhubri (Assam) and Coochbehar (WB). These cattle heads were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh taking advantage of flood conditions of the mighty Brahmaputra and other rivers.
“Keeping in view the vulnerability of border, heightened activities of the smugglers, and anti-national elements on the border, BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes & illegal infiltration and are making all-out efforts to prevent the commission of such crimes”, stated in a press release issued by the public relations officer (PRO) of BSF Guwahati Frontier.
