News Desk: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class X board results on Wednesday.
A total of 18, 73,015 students appeared in the exam out of which 17, 13,121 students passed the exam. The overall pass percentage for this year is 91.46.
Trivandrum performed best amongst all regions with a pass percentage of 99.28 % followed by the Chennai region with 98.95 % while Bengaluru stands at third position with 98.23 % pass percentage.
This year, a total of 41,804 students or 2.23% of the candidates scored above 95%, which is a dip from last year’s 3.25%. Likewise, 18,4358 or 9.84% of the total number of candidates scored above 90%, which is significantly less than last year’s 12.78%.
Union Minister of Human Resource and Development Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank congratulated the candidates who successfully cleared the exams.
“Dear Students, Parents, and Teachers! CBSE has announced the results of Class X and can be accessed at https://t.co/U3MU3QfULs. We congratulate you all for making this possible. I reiterate, student’s health & quality education are our priority,” he tweeted.
