Guwahati: Loss of smell and loss of taste are now among the symptoms of Covid-19 as per the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. US’ Centres for Disease Control had already added these two symptoms in the list of Covid-19 symptoms in early May.
Other symptoms include:
Common Symptoms-fever, dry cough, fatigue.
Less common symptoms- sore throat, diarrhoea, headache.
Serious symptoms- shortness of breath, chest pain, loss of speech or movement.
The Covid-19 tally rose to 308,993 in India on Saturday. Globally, 7,765,626 people have been infected with the virus while the death toll rose to 428,745. The United States remains the worst-hit country with over 2 Million infection cases.
