Delhi University Postpones UG Exams Till August

News Desk: The Delhi University (DU) final year examination has been postponed till August 2020. The DU informed the Delhi High Court that it would hold the exams after August 15.

According to the sources, the decision had been taken at a meeting with DU officials, which was chaired by HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal. Pokhriyal had tweeted about the meeting on Tuesday “To discuss a synchronized calendar for DU admissions and CBSE board examination results etc.”

He said, “I would like to assure everyone that we at MHRD are committed to students’ health and quality education”.

Justice Pratibha M Singh said, “Just see how you are playing the lives of children. You were not fair with the court about your preparedness for holding the online examinations. You are saying you are ready but the minutes of your meeting shows the contrary.”

The HRD Ministry announced that final-year examinations in universities will have to be conducted by September-end. Students, however, reported technical issues in downloading the question papers and uploading their answers.
