The whale-shaped super transporter aircraft, Airbus Beluga, made its grand debut at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) on November 22, stunning airport staff and passengers alike. Images of one of the largest aircraft have surfaced on the internet, leaving netizens speechless. One of this super transporter’s characteristics is that it is whale-shaped and stands out in the sky, giving the impression that a whale has taken over the skies. This aircraft is not only the centre of attention among air travellers due to its large size, but it is also unique in its own right.
The name ‘Beluga’ is derived from the Beluga whale. The Airbus Beluga transports large and heavy objects such as vehicles and various space programmes. Large aircraft have witnessed a rise in demand.
The images of the Airbus Beluga landing at the CSMIA were shared on Twitter by the airport’s official account. “Look who made a pit stop at @CSMIA_Official ! In addition, the whale-shaped super transporter Airbus Beluga arrived at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport on November 20. Kolkata Airport took to Twitter to share the news with netizens, along with photos of one of the world’s largest planes.
