The above qualifying papers and optional subjects will have the same syllabi as the Civil Services Examination (CSE).

Common candidates for the Civil Services (Main) Examination and the IRMS (Main) Examination may choose any of the optional subjects listed above for both examinations, or they may choose different optional subjects for both examinations. According to the examination scheme, there will be one for CSE (Mains) and one for IRMSE (Mains).

The qualifying paper and optional subjects will use the same language and script as the CSE (Main) examination (for writing question papers and answers). The age limit and number of attempts for each category will be the same as in the CSE.

A requisition for IRMSE (150 Nos.) is being sent to UPSC, which will include the following numbers of four options: Civil (30), Mechanical (30), Electrical (60), and Commerce & Accounts (30). (30).

Results Declaration – The UPSC will prepare and publish a list of the final recommended candidates from the four subjects in order of merit.

The proposed examination scheme calls for the use of the Civil Services (P) Examination to screen candidates for the IRMS (Main) Examination, as well as the IRMSE Common Qualifying Language papers and CSE papers on certain optional subjects. Both the preliminary and main written parts of these two examinations are expected to be held concurrently. CSE and IRMSE will be notified.

According to the UPSC’s annual examination schedule for the year 2023, the Civil Services (P) Examination – 2023 will be notified and held on 01.02.2023 and 28.05.2023, respectively.

Because the CSP Exam – 2023 will also be used to screen candidates for the IRMS (Main) Exam, the IRMS Exam – 2023 will be notified as per the same schedule.
