The Olympic medalist officially joined the Assam police today. The appointment is being made to Lovlina as per the State government’s new sports policy and cabinet approval. The event was attended by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma as well as several other MLAs and Ministers including Sports Minister Bimal Bora, Assam government Chief Secretary Jishnu Baruah, Assam Police Director Chief Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta, various Sports Association delegates.
Dressed as a DSP, Lovlina expressed her feelings and said that today will be a very memorable day for her. Lovlina also resolved to bring even more success to the sports community of Assam at the event.
Lovlina, who aims to win gold at the Olympics, said she would make every effort to reach her goal.
