The Manipur government on Saturday revised the Covid19 restrictions in the state due to the current plight of the pandemic. The night curfew will start from 9 pm to 5 am in the state and the order will remain in force till February 28.
The State Disaster Management Authority issued the order given the huge increase of infection by the highly mutant Covid19 variant Omicron. As per the order, physical classes will be only for class IX and above while the number of students should not exceed 50 percent of the capacity.
As for the shopping malls they are directed to ensure limiting the number of customers to 50 percent inside the mall and strict observance of Covid guidelines. The order further said that the eating spaces of the hotels or restaurants shall allow and serve only 50 percent capacity while the Gymnasium and fitness centers may open from 5 am to 12 noon.
