Price of petrol and diesel were hiked by over increased by 80 paise each for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. The latest hiked price of petrol in Delhi rose to Rs 97.01 per litre and diesel Rs 88.27 per litre  respectively today.Whereas, Petrol and diesel prices increased by 85 paise per litre– that means Rs 111.67 and Rs 95.85 in Mumbai.
Moreover in Chennai, the price of petrol is Rs 102.91. That means the price hike has increased by 75 paise in petrol and by 76 paise in diesel. This takes diesel prices to Rs 92.95. In Kolkata, the price of petrol is Rs 106.34 (increased by 83 paise) and diesel is 91.42 (increased by 80 paise).
Following such fluctuations in fuel prices a netizen sarcastically commented as such, “I have a request to the Election Commission of India. It would be very useful for the people of India if we could arrange elections in all the states and hold elections in each state every month. Because the central government will never increase petrol, diesel & gas prices.”
