President Ram Nath Kovind serving as the 14th and current President of India whose tenure have come to an end as a result of which ongoing Presidential elections held on July 18, 2022. Outgoing President Kovind is the first from Uttar Pradesh to have become the President of India. He is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Before entering politics, President Kovind was a lawyer by profession.
