Assam along with the rest of the Northeast likely to witness isolated rainfall for the next two days, predicts the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
The Central part of Assam and Meghalaya are at risk of localized inundation due to rain total in excess of 50 mm on Friday for 24 hours.
The state, Assam might also witness hailstorms, and lightning at isolated places till February 4, 2022. As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), cold day to severe conditions are possible over isolated pockets of north Uttar Pradesh during the next 24 hours and abate thereafter.
Cold day conditions are likely to start over the Northwest region from Thursday, spreading into the West, Central and East region on Friday.
