Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma holds All-Party Meet over a Border dispute with Meghalaya to settle the border dispute with Meghalaya. The meeting was held at the State Guest House, Koinadhara on Tuesday.
The issue is being worked out as per the recommendation of the three Regional Committees with representative from both states. Assam Education Minister Ronuj Pegu and Ashok Singhal and Leader of Opposition in State Assembly Debabrata Saikia were among those were present in the meeting.
To resolve the Assam-Meghalaya border row, six of the 12 areas of difference have been identified. The areas differences taken up for final settlement include Hahim, Gizang, Tarabari, Boklapara, Khanapara-Pillingkata and Ratacherra.
