2 Assam Teachers to be Felicitated with National Award on September 5

The Union Ministry of Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, has published a list of selected teachers across the country for the National Awards to Teachers on 5th September, 2021.

The selected teachers are two each from Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Odisha, Bihar, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.

The two Assam teachers are Kankan Kishore Dutta of Bamunpukhuri High School, Jorhat and Binanda Swargiary of K B Deulkusi Higher Secondary School in Baksa district.

The two Assam teachers are among the 44 selected who will be felicitated on Teacher’s Day by President Ram Nath Kovind.

This award is given each year to provide  recognition to teachers working in primary, middle, and secondary schools.

The purpose of the National Award is to celebrate their rare contribution and to honor those teachers who through their commitment have not only improved the quality of school education but also cultivate the lives of their students.
