Amid covid, monsoon season is about to start. After joining of new Guwahati Municipal Corporation Commissioner Devasish Sharma is taking all the responsibilities to make flood-free Guwahati.
After few days of the survey all over the city physically new Municipal Commissioner is very dissatisfied with the work of Guwahati city by contractors.
After dissatisfaction with work, Commissioner Devasish Sharma has given a showcase notice to 71 contractors who were involved in work.
According to the official source, “Corporation is not satisfied with the reply of the contractor’s notice. Only 25-30 % of work has been completed in just one month. We’ve very little time in our hands.”
Municipal has immediately asked the contractors to submit their work reports within two days.
