All Assam Students Union (AASU) on Monday staged a sitting protest at Dighali Pukhuri, Guwahati.
The protest was staged demanding the implementation of Clause 6 of the Assam Accord.
AASU also demanded a solution for the state’s erosion and flood problems.
The student union also protested demanding solutions for Assam’s Mega Dam including the Lower Subansiri Hydroelectric Project.

Earlier, on Saturday, the student union announced that it will hold agitations during PM Narendra Modi’s visit to the state on February 22. This protest marks Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government’s failure to implement Clause 6 of Assam Accord.
