A tragic incident took place on Wednesday in Kadamtala village in Barpeta district where a three-year-old child was killed by a speeding tractor.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahman, son of Rahul Amin. The incident occurred when Rahman was playing near his house and a speeding tractor without a number plate hit him.
Local immediately informed the local police. Police reached the spot and seized the vehicle. Police also sent the body for a post-mortem report.
The driver of the vehicle who was identified as Chand Mahmood was arrested by police.
