A newly erected statue of writer Achyut Kanta Adhikary was inaugurated at Jawaharlal Nehru College, Boko.
The statue, which is a part of a memorial being dedicated to Adhikary recreating a scene of his famous book Beginners English Grammar and Composition, 1965 and Structural English Grammar in 2002. He edited “Sri Sri Borbishnu Aata r Sorit.” He also wrote Chamaria Satra r Somu.
Adhikary is the founder of Buniyadi School, Chamaria , Bhalukghata M.V. School, Boko ,Model English School, Boko, Boko Hospital, Boko, Boko Sahitya Xobha and Jawaharlal Nehru College.
