Agni Prime: Another new induction in Indian Army’s weapon arsenal

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Monday successfully test fired a new variant of the Agni missile series known as Agni Prime.
The test fire was done at about 10:55 AM off the coast of Odisha from the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam island.

The New Generation Nuclear Capable Ballistic Missile Agni Prime is fully made of composite material.
Various telemetry and radar stations positioned along the eastern coast tracked and monitored the missile.

As per information provided, the missile has followed the textbook trajectory and also met all the mission objectives with a high level of accuracy.

The canisterised missile has a range capability between 1000 and 2000 kilometres.
