All Districts in Assam to Receive Rs. 10 Lakhs Each During Flood

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made the announcement that every district of the will be receiving Rs. 10 lakhs during flood in Monsoon seasons.

The announcement was made on Sunday during CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s review on Covid 19 situation and Assam flood preparedness with the DCs, SPs, Principal of Medical Colleges, and Joint Directors of Health Service.

Each district will be provided Rs. 10 lakhs from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund during floods in Monsoons.
“CM @himantabiswa announced that every District would receive Rs. 10 Lakh from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to enable DCs to meet unseen expenditure like providing help to distressed people during flood which are not covered by flood manual.” CM Assam official Twitter page informed.

Deputy Commissioners to receive the fund and will have to be spend on providing help to distressed people which is not covered by the flood manual.
In order to mitigate the flood situation, Himanta Biswa Sarma has also asked all the DCs to keep ready and activate their district disaster management plan before the seasonal flood. He also asked to put in place relief camps while complying with Covid 19 protocols.
