On his visit to the poll-bound Assam, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday attended the Pran Pratishta Mahotsav of the world’s largest 126-foot-tall Shivalinga.
Construction of the Maha Mrityunjay Temple started in 2003 and will be open for all devotees from Friday.
The Union Minister was accompanied by state Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Assam State BJP President Ranjeet Kumar Dass and BJP National Vice President Jay Panda were also present at the ceremony.

“It is a great privilege to participate in the 127 feet high Shivlinga Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav at the Mahamrityunjaya Temple in Nagaon.
