Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) General Secretary Kalyan Gogoi on Tuesday morning announced his resignation from the Congress party.
The Congress leader’s resignation can be termed as a huge loss for the Congress party just days ahead of the Assam Assembly election.
The APCC General Secretary was denied a ticket from 108, Sivasagar constituency. Instead, Congress candidate Subhramitra Gogoi got ticket from the Sivasagar constituency.

It seems now it has become a trend for party leaders to leave the party after they were denied of tickets. Many leaders of BJP, Congress, AIUDF, and other political parties deserted their own political party.
