Over the past few days, several customers have taken to the Apple Support Community to complain about a large number of spam and prank calls that they have been receiving on FaceTime.

The main dilemma Apple users are facing is that they cannot even block these numbers. According to a report, this problem has been on the rise for the past few weeks.
People who are behind the spam calls are apparently using Group FaceTime and call about 30-31 users at a time.
Making things annoying, it has been reported that when someone hangs the call, they get a call from a different number immediately.

One of the users complained that he has received more than seven calls throughout the day. After hanging up the call, he received more than 11 calls again.
Taking to Reddit, few complained that the high volume of callbacks is the result of other people receiving the call dialing everyone back when the initial call fails.
“As more people receive follow-up calls, they too begin making callbacks.” A person stated on a Reddit post.

Since FaceTime is designed to work like regular phone calls, one can only block one Apple ID at a time. A person cannot block multiple numbers at once and there is nothing much users can do.
The only last resort for the users is to disable the feature completely.
