Since its election campaign in Assam, the BJP party had also been assuring action for cow protection.
As a result, the Assam Cow Protection Bill, 2021 was introduced in the Assam Assembly on the first day of the budget session today.
The new bill for protection of cows has been introduced by state CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
It needs to be mentioned that the act is expected to be particularly helpful in preventing smuggling of cattle.
