With the spike in COVID-19 cases in the country, testing has been intensified at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport in Guwahati.
The Health Department has been ensuring mandatory testing for the air passengers arriving in Guwahati from other states.
“Testing is mandatory for the passengers who do not carry an RT-PCR report, conducted within 72 hours,” said an official.
“Today we have detected a positive case, meanwhile on Wednesday, seven air passengers were tested positive,” said another health department employee.
Moreover, National Health Mission stated that till date, a total of 11,30,808 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine across the state. Meanwhile, a total of 2,03,263 people got the second dose.
