On Friday, Assam Government completes its 100 days today. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the progress made so far and made some important decisions at a Press Meet at Administrative Staff College, Khanapara Guwahati.
Here is a highlight of all the important decisions taken in the Assam cabinet meeting:
- The cabinet meeting will be held in one district every month.
- Electric bus service to be introduced within next six months.
- History and geography courses to be mandatory in class IX.
- Ten thousand rupees will be given to drivers and conductors because of inter-district transport being stopped.
- Fifteen thousand rupees will be given to temple priests and Namghar’s.
- Tea workers’ wages have been increased to Rs 250,000 per month, deposited in accounts on ten days every month.
- Every high school in the state will be upgraded to higher secondary.
- Junior colleges should have classes IX and X.
- Arunoday scheme money increased from Rs 830 to Rs 1000.
