The Education Minister also informed this year High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary (HS) 2nd-year examinations under the state board will be held in modified modes.
However, he also made it clear that exams will be held only when the Covid 19 scenario of Assam improves to near normalcy.
During a press meet, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said –
Assam is yet to reach a ‘near normal’ situation. The education department is ready to conduct the exams once the Covid 19 situation of the state improves.”
The minister also stated that the cancellation of exams cannot resolve the issue.
“For many students, the marks of HS and HSLC are important in their career,” the Education Minister remarked.
