Assam CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on addressing media on the Assam Flood, for the fisrt time today in an official statement declares Government’s initiative of providing assistance from CM Relief Fund to those who are affected during floods.He said,” At the time of returning from the flood camps, a small amount will be handed over to those affected families.”
An assistance of Rs 3800 for the flood affected families will be provided. For over 1 lakh student beneficiaries, a sum of Rs 1000 will be provided to them.
Further addressing the media, CM said, “families identified are one lakh eighty nine thousand seven hundred fifty two. Most of the families banks accounts were linked and the amount was successfully added to their accounts. Whereas for thirty five thousand families the amount was not added because of some bank issues but that issue will be solved soon.”
Assam CM also further added that by August 15th, additional textbooks will be provided to those flood affected students. He further tweets, “It is our sincere commitment to stand by the students during this tough time”.
In our humble effort to provide relief to students affected during recent floods in the State, we have provided an assistance of ₹1,000 each to over 1 lakh student beneficiaries, from CM's Relief Fund.
