The Assam Education Department cancelled the State Board Exams. In a major decision on Friday, the State Education Department cancelled examinations of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC), Higher Secondary (HS) 2nd year exams and High Madrassa examinations for 2021.
This decision was taken due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic.
The decision has been announced by Education Minister Ranoj Pegu after a crucial meeting with several organisations of the state.
All Assam Student Union (AASU), Sahitya Sabha and other organisations were present at the meeting.
The department will constitute two committees to formulate the marking system. The results are likely to be declared by July 31.
