The Assam government on Saturday partially modified the allocation of portfolios and gave additional allocations to two state ministers.
The two ministers are – Urkhao Gwra Brahma and Ranuj Pegu.
As per the notification issued by Chief Secretary Jishnu Baruah, Education Minister Ranuj Pegu has been allotted the Welfare of Plain tribes and Backward classes.
Meanwhile, Brahma has been allocated the handloom and textiles, soil conservation, and welfare of Bodoland departments.
The part of the official notification letter of Assam government stated –
“In partial modification of earlier notification dated May 12, 2021, the Governor of Assam, on the advice of the Chief Minister, is pleased to order the allocation of portfolios among the following members of the Council of Ministers, Assam as indicated below”
