Education Minister of Assam, Ranoj Pegu made a significant announcement regarding the application for teacher’s transfer.
The Education Minister during the budget session in Assam Legislative Assembly stated that from now onwards, procedures for transfer can be conducted through online mode.
“The Assam government has initiated a process to open a portal for the teachers who seek a transfer. This move towards digitalization will make the application process of the transfer of teachers very convenient as it will eliminate the need for the teachers to physically rush from one office to another to get the simple job done.” Pegu informed.
State government will open a portal for teachers seeking transfer. The portal will be made available within two months.
The minister further informed that teachers who have completed 10 years of continuous service in a district are eligible for the transfer. A teacher can also apply for his/her transfer on medical or security related grounds.
