State Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday while addressing the Assam Legislative Assembly stated many important and vital aspects.

Some of the important aspects of Himanta Biswa Sarma’s speech at the Assam Legislative Assembly are:
• No communal violence in the past 5 years. We have laid the foundation of a new Assam

• Farmers have seen unprecedented progress and 22 lakh families benefitted from the Orunodoi scheme and old-age pension scheme.

• Assam’s fight against Covid 19 is unparalleled. It cannot be compared with any other states.
• Assam shall be one of the top two states in terms of Covid recovery rate, mortality rate, and disease burden rate.
• State BJP government has supplied medicines including Remdesivir to other states like Jharkhand and Telangana.

• More than 37 lakh people vaccinated till date. Assam likely to receive more vaccines by June-July.
• Goal is to provide vaccination to over three crore citizens.

• Assam is also helping the entire North-Eastern states in their fight against Covid 19 pandemic.

• CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also advocated stern action against illegal encroachment of Satra land.

• Intend to bring peace in Karbi Anglong.
• Zero tolerance policy against terrorism in the region.

• A peaceful Assam is the right of the next generation. Request to Paresh Baruah to join peace talks.
• Will make efforts to stop cow slaughter under provisions of Indian Constitution.
• Revision of NRC.
• No imposition of tax on Petrol and diesel this year.
