Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday morning visited the Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) to meet the injured police officials in the Assam- Mizoram border incident.
The Chief Minister directed the doctors and health department officials to ensure the best treatment for the injured Police officials. CM Sarma also asked the authorities to send the seriously injured police personnel for a higher level of treatment by air ambulance on priority.
Sarma was accompanied by DGP Assam Police Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, Ministers Pijush Hazarika and Ashok Singhal, and local MLAs of the area.
