Miscreants from Mizoram pelted stones at Assam Government officials who are currently posted at the Lilapur area at the Assam-Mizoram border.
According to official sources, the Assam Government officials are protecting the Assam’s land from encroachment, when a group of miscreants pelted stone at the officials. No reports of major damage to public property or human life have been reported in the incident.
Condemning the act, Assam Police posted on Facebook, “We strongly condemn these acts of vandalism and reiterate our resolve to protect Assam’s boundary.”
