In a bid to make Assam a drug-free state, the Assam Police has been operating tirelessly at every juncture and point.
Assam Police has been continuing its crackdown and stranding firm against drugs and illicit commodities in every nook and corner of the state.

On Tuesday, Assam Police detected a total of 17 cases related to drugs, and a total of 36 arrests were done.
The State Police on Tuesday seized –
• Heroin – 92.61 grams.
• Ganja – 750 grams.
• Cough Syrup – 46 bottles.
• Tablets – 35,800 nos.
• Cash recovered – Rs. 41,650.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also informed on Twitter – “Fight Against Drug @assampolice stands firm against narcotics.
Success as recorded on June 8, 2021:
Case registered 17; Arrests 36
Seizure: Heroin 92.61 gram; Ganja 750 gram; Cough Syrup 46 bottles; Tablet 35,800 nos; Cash recovered Rs 41,650”
