Huge Bust by Assam Police, recovers drugs worth Rs. 12 Crores

The Assam Police in a major breakthrough on Monday night made another big dent in the drug cartel organization.
Giving a major blow to the Drug cartel operating from Manipur, Assam Police on Monday seized three kilos of high quality Meth aka Crystal Meth.

The drug was seized from a Guwahati bound vehicle bearing registration number – MN-06-B-0511. The vehicle carrying the drug was intercepted at a check gate under Dillai Police Station, Karbi Anglong.
Market value of the seized drug has been estimated to be worth about Rs. 12 Crores in the International market.

Taking to Twitter, Assam Police DGP, Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta informed –
“In a major blow to the Drug cartels operating from Manipur, @assampolice today seized 3 kilos of high quality Meth aka Crystal Ice at a check gate under Dillai PS, #KarbiAnglong. Value of the seized drugs is about Rs.12 Crores in International market.
@CMOfficeAssam @himantabiswa”

As per information provided, the consignment was first intercepted by Home Guard Borsing Bay. He was offered a huge bribe by the accused for letting them go free.
However, Borsing Bay refused to take the bribe.
For this selfless and honest act, Borsing will be awarded with an amount of rs. One Lakh.
“Because of which drugs worth Rs.12 crores have been taken off the market. Sri Bay for this selfless and honest act, will be rewarded with an amount of Rs. One Lakh.

During the seizure, two women from Tamil Nadu and one man from Manipur have been taken into custody.
“Two women from Tamil Nadu and One man from Manipur are in our custody for this.
Lion’s share of credit for this drug haul goes to HomeGuard Borsing Bay. He was offered a huge bribe amount by the accused in return for letting them go free.
Sri Bay refused.” DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta informed on Twitter.
