Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate for Bokajan (ST) constituency, Numal Momin on Wednesday filed his nomination for the upcoming state Assembly Election.
The BJP candidate filed his nomination in the SDO Civil Office, Bokajan.
MP Horensing Bey, KAAC Speaker Lonkey Tumung, BJP President East Karbi Anglong Dhonsing Teron, EMs Madhurjya Dhekial Phukan and Jagat Sing Ingti, MACs Richard Tokbi and Pabitra Rongpi, and other BJP party members were also present at the nomination submission process.

Speaking to the media after filing nomination, the BJP candidate stated, “In the last five years, I have received tremendous love and support of the people. I tried to fulfill their hopes and aspirations up to some extent. Development is my prime agenda and I shall dedicate my next five years for further development my constituency.”
“This time I shall win with a minimum margin of 40,000-50,000 votes. There is no opposition. The Congress has preconceived defeat and are yet to declare candidate.” he further stated.
The Bokajan (ST) constituency is heading for polls in the second phase which is scheduled on April 1.
The constituency has a total of 1,49,929 registered voters.
