The first phase of the Assam Assembly elections is going on smoothly.
The polling is being held in a total of 47 constituencies in 12 districts. The voting process has started at 7 am.
A total of 81,09,691 voters will cast their votes in this phase.
• The percentage of poll at 9 am was 11.35 percent.
• Poll percentage till 10 am was 23.15 percent.
• Poll percentage till 11 am across 47 constituencies is 25.83 percent.

The fate of 264 candidates will be captured in EVM machines till evening.
In the first phase of the Assam Assembly Election, among the 264 candidates, there are many heavyweight politicians. Few prominent faces are:

Till now, many candidates have already cast their votes. Gaurav Gogoi, Ripun Bora, Ajanta Neog, Renupoma Rajkhowa and Prashanta Phukon are few among them.
