Assam Shines at 67th National Film Award; Wins Six National Awards

For the first time in the history of Assam that Assamese artists have won a total of six awards in the National Film Award.

Full-length feature films and non-fictional films combined to win up to six awards at the National level.
The list includes:
• Best Assamese Picture: ‘Ronuwa’ directed by Chandra Mudoi.
• Best Mising film: ‘Anu Ruwad’ directed by Dilip Doley.
• Best Film on Environment Conservation: ‘Water Burial’ directed by Santanu Sen.
• Best Education Film: ‘Apples and Oranges’ directed by Ruksana Tabassum.
• Best Khasi Film: ‘Lewduh’.
• Assamese film ‘Jonaki Porua’ has been honored with the special mention in the feature film category.
