The additional chief secretary of the government of Assam Jishnu Baruah has been appointed as the chief secretary of the government of Assam on Friday. The IAS is set to take oath on Saturday.
Jishnu Baruah, a 1988 batch IAS officer will replace the current chief secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna who is retiring on October 31.
The names of Ravi Capoor, a 1986 batch IAS officer and V S Bhaskar, a 1985 batch IAS officer, were also making rounds for the post of the Chief Secretary of Assam.
