Suspended

Twenty-two pupils from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Moran, were suspended on Tuesday after attempting to assault a five-month pregnant residential school teacher. The disturbing occurrence occurred when the instructor was besieged by 40-50 students after she protested at a parent-teacher conference about a student’s inattentive approach to academics. Following that, two students recognized as the principal culprits rallied the students of Classes IX and X and attempted to attack her. The pupils involved in the event were suspended when Moran’s circle officer investigated the issue.

According to the school’s principal, Ratheen Kumar, the scared teacher lost consciousness and collapsed after being picked up by the mob until two other instructors retrieved her and rushed her to the hospital. According to the findings presented by the school’s internal inquiry committee, twenty-two pupils were deemed to be the leaders of the assault; nonetheless, they have been suspended for six months from the school. Biswajit Pegu, the Dibrugarh District Commissioner, has also ordered an investigation into the matter.
