280 specially-abled candidates get teacher’s appointment letter

Appointment

Appointment letters for the post of Lower/Upper Primary School Teachers were distributed to 280 specially-abled candidates in the education department in the presence of Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu.

The education minister said the chief minister had created a clause in the appointment of teachers in Assam.  He thanked the Chief Minister for this revolutionary employment trend and said that the appointment would be made again in August-September.

The education minister said, “We had set up a medical board to select specially-abled candidates. About 50 per cent of the candidates who passed the exam, 271, were absent. Maybe they appeared for the exam with fake certificates.”

“Many are doing government jobs with fake certificates. Presently specially-abled people must be present on the medical board in the field of recruitment. We have appointed only the candidates appointed by the Medical Board. Only people with 40 per cent Disability are considered particularly capable,” added Ranoj Pegu.

Several important announcements were by the Education Minister:

  1. Less than 30 students will integrate with other schools, excluding exceptional locations.
  2. SEBA has taken out an app. The 9th-10th student exam will be conducted soon through that app.
  3. Transfer applications have to be made through the education portal.
  4. There are currently no files in the education department. The transfer application has to be communicated as per the portal.
