Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday while laying the foundation stone of India’s first Multi-modal Logistics Park in Jogighopa announced that Rs. 80,000 crore has been sanctioned for the development of roads and bridges in Assam.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal informed the same in a tweet:

In addition to that, Gadkari also informed that the construction work for the 9 kilometre long Dhubri-Phulbari bridge connecting and the Majuli-Nematighat bridge will start soon.
