Assam has been reporting an increased number of online fraud cases wherein big names from the government as well as the administration have been made targets of the cyber attack.
In the latest case of fraudulent accounts being opened by fraudsters, a vicious circle has opened a fake WhatsApp account in the name of city district collector this time after minister Bimal Bara.
It may be recalled that a few wicked people have withered money from various people in the name of Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha.
Messages have even gone to the deputy commissioner’s office staff to extract money. The deputy commissioner has already filed a case in crime branch to investigate in this regard.
Meta: After state minister Bimal Borah, the deputy commissioner of Kamrup (Metro) has been targeted by online frauds, wherein the fraudsters have created a fake Whatsapp account using the profile pic of the DC.
