According to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Changsari, Guwahati, will be formally inaugurated in 2023.
He made the announcement while in North Guwahati for the Namghor Samaroh.
CM Sarma also revealed a number of upcoming projects that would be inaugurated in Guwahati.
”The AIIMS, Guwahati would be formally launched in 2023,” said Sarma.
He also stated that the Jalukbari constituency will see the construction of ten new high schools, as well as model schools in Changsari and Rangmahal.
According to CM Sarma, construction of the Palasbari-Sualkuchi bridge will begin the following year, and work on a new bridge in Saraighat will begin soon.
The Assam Chief Minister also recognised deserving students from the Jalukbari Assembly Constituency who excelled in their High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary (HS) exams last year.
CM Sarma took to Twitter and wrote, “Glad to felicitate meritorious students from Jalukbari LAC, who passed their HSLC & HS exams with flying colours last year, at Changsari High School playground. I hope this gesture of appreciation would further motivate the students to continue their good performance”.
