MP Ajit Bhuyan has submitted a letter to the Union Ministries of Railway resumption of local train services in Assam.
He further added in the letter that the suspension of local trains for about eight months due to novel coronavirus has faced hardship by the public in general and regular rail passengers in particular due to the non-availability of passenger trains.
In the letter, it is also mentioned, “Due to the non-restoration of local train services, the most suffers are the economically weaker section of the society, students, and patients in Assam like any other parts of the country. So, the continuation of local train services is a dire need for such people as their daily livelihood depends on it.”
